ONE of Africa's most revered jazz artistes, Isaiah Katumwa, has denied claims that he was using his Google mailing address to extort people off their money.
The celebrated Ugandan musician and saxophonist, on Wednesday, told SpiceRead from the U.S.A that his Gmail account had been hacked from Ukraine and the culprits had been sending S.O.S messages to his mailing list, asking them for money.
He said, "Please be informed that my account was hacked into from Ukraine and emails broadcasted from my different accounts which happened to be synced. I am in the United States and not Ukraine. And currently doing whatever I can to rectify the problem. Thank you for your understanding."
The self-taught saxophonist has performed alongside other great jazz musicians among them global icons like Jonathan Butler, Hugh Masekela, Jimmy Dludlu and Seweto Kinchy.
