LUPITA NYONG'O: I HAD FORGOTTEN WHO I WAS!

KENYAN Hollywood star, Lupita Nyong'o, has admitted that she got caught up in the Hollywood whirlwind.

The 32-year-old Oscar winner - who has graced the cover of Essence magazine's January issue - confessed, "I had talked so much about who I was that I'd forgotten who I was. After 12 Years A Slave and the quote-unquote meteoric rise, I felt like there was a moment where I was suffering from whiplash."

The actress has spent the past few months in the off-Broadway play, Eclipsed.
"I didn't grow up seeing African women on stage very often, much less African women in African stories. I was in love with the world Danai created," she said about the play. 

In addition to starring in Eclipsed, Lupita will play Maz Kanata, a female pirate in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

SO, KIDUM GOT SAVED?

APPARENTLY, singer Kidum is a saved man. This guy who serenaded our souls with hits such as Mapenzi, Nitafanya and Haturudi Nyuma got saved recently, according to one Pastor Eric Omba.

This is what Pastor Omba had to say about Kidum's salvation after baptising him: "After Kidumu getting saved, Now He has taken his Salvation to the next Level, Am happy and grateful to be the one Baptizing him ( Kidumu,) He has Confirmed His Love and salvation to Christ and the rest of the world."

PHY TO HOST A LISTENING PARTY FOR DEBUT ALBUM, PHYLOSOPHY

SINGER, songwriter and Maisha Superstar Season One winner, PHY will on Thursday evening host a listening party for her debut album, Phylosophy.

The event will be held at the Ennovator Music Studios in Kileleshwa, Nairobi. The night will see PHY sample music from her new album, a narration of her journey in music.
"The listening party is an intimate  opportunity to share the stories of my songs to our story tellers, you people my partners in press core, bloggers, writers, everyone to who has been there from the beginning of this journey. EKO DYDDA CAME OUT OF THIS WRECK ALIVE!

EARLIER today, gospel rapper, Eko Dydda, was involved in a grissly road accident, where his car rolled several times. He, however, came out alive... from this wreckage below..

He posted the above photo on his Facebook page with the caption: "As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil for THE LORD IS WITH ME. IF HE GOT ME OUT OF THIS CAR SAFE, IT JUST MEANS HIS WORK THROUGH ME HAS JUST BEGAN. LET THE PRAISE AND WORSHIP BEGIN, thank you all for your prayers I know ALL IS WELL IN JESUS NAME."

EDDY KENZO'S DANCING YOUNGSTER IS DEAD

HIS stand-out dancing skills were utterly displayed in the Uganda's award-winning artiste Eddy Kenzo's hit song, Sitya Loss. But the young and talented dancing star, Alex Ssempijja (pictured), is no more.

Via his Facebook page, Kenzo confirmed the death of the 14-year-old, who died yesterday after a bicycle accident in Kampala.

He wrote: "Alex... has gone to be with the Lord. He passed on this evening in an accident. He featured in Sitya Loss and so good videos. Rest in eternal peace young soldier." 

Jose Chameleone, on his Facebook page, sent his condolences to Alex's family, fans and friends, and to Eddy Kenzo, saying: "I am really saddened by the Death of a youngstar Alex Ssempijja. All of us are with your Family, Fans and Friends in this sudden loss! You are gone to soon and left us the Memories of your always happy Character from since we Watched you dance in "Sitya Loss" May the lord strengthen Eddy Kenzo and team as we all pray God Rests your Young Soul in Eternal peace.We pray for The Lil' Patricia who is hospitalized. May the Lord lay his healing Hands on you. LEONE ISLAND MUSIC EMPIRE"

GOSPEL RAPPER EKO DYDDA ESCAPES DEATH IN ROAD ACCIDENT

TODAY in the morning, award-winning gospel rapper, Eko Dydda, escaped death narrowly after a nasty road accident.

 The GHETTO hit rapper took to Facebook where, without disclosing too much details to what prevailed, he wrote: "Please pray for me I had an accident this morning, I rolled several times with my car but GOD'S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT."
We wish him quick emotional and physical recovery.
