About Malawian Rapper And Poet Pinky Ice

FAITH Singini Chinsima aka Pinky Ice is one of Malawi's best poets, rapper and writer/composer. She started rapping and writing at the age of 14. She got the name DJ Pinky Ice back in high school from her friends. 

Her first song, Rich featuring Kei M - a classmate - was an instant hit which got her a record deal with Echelon Records based in Blantyre. She released a booze fever track called Bardo, inspired by the current trend in Malawi where broke guys get girls using a new brand of cheap wine called Bardo.

During the day though, the 21 year old, is an employee at Standard Bank Malawi and an IT student at Blantyre International University (B.I.U). During her free time she loves singing, dancing, reading, playing basketball and writing. She has shared a stage with local acts among them Black Jack, Bucci, Lady Pace and Excess. Her ambition is to make it beyond Malawi, perform to all kinds of crowds and give everyone the sound they love to hear.
