Getting To Know Singer Reina

GRACE Wakiuru aka Reina is a Kenyan female R&B recording artiste. She made her recording debut in late 2007, where she was featured by singer Pilipili in the hit song, Twende Ndani.

Reina - who is also a songwriter - is already on her way to music super stardom with her smooth voice and amazing dance moves. Growing up in a small town (Nakuru), she was a born entertainer. She enjoyed singing in her church choir. She cites artistes such as Mariah Carey, Brandy, Whitney Houston, Tamia and Aretha Franklin as among her musical influences.
"Music has been a passion for me since I was really young. I formed a music group with my big bro, a professional pianist at the age of 13, and we would practice all the time to different music pieces," she says.

Reina released her single, See You Today, in 2009 and quickly found its way into the charts. Working with established producers and songwriters, she has made a number of more hits like Roho Yangu and her latest song and video, For Real.
She has done a number of collaborations, among them Mrembo Remix with Lady Bee, Joey, Shinde, Ray C, and Mimmo and Yuka with Kagomaz. Her voice has a classic R&B sound. 

In September of 2011, Reina performed at Elite Model Look Kenya held at the Intercontinental Hotel.
